Pastoral Paintings in Progress...

These are two panels measuring about 5 feet tall by two and a half feet wide I am doing as a commission. They are supposed to have that old world golden age of painting look. She wanted cattle in one and sheep in the other. I hesitate to ever show paintings in progress. These are so tall and long they are hard to get good photos of too. I will glaze and soften the entire paintings as well as add lots more detail to the animals, foreground foliage, etc.

At this stage the animals still look drawn in and somewhat cartoonish...but it will all come together when finished!

I love painting dramatic skies and animals...so its been a pleasurable project. More pics when finished!!

Wow Brandi, they wonderful, I know you have to add the detail, but they look great right now! The sky with the trees are breath taking...love that look.
