Happy Autumn Equinox and a Few WIPS...

Today, its here! The equinox! We should all feel the balance of the sun's entrance to Libra and the beginning of Fall...HURRAY! The perfect balance of night and day, and I didn't even get into the woods to celebrate. I'm packing and shipping and running and creating in between, helping with homework and life's chores took over...it was sort of dreary dark and humid day anyway. I'll be sure to get to my woods time in soon....but here are some of my recent efforts. Lots of things going at once as usual and already time to simultaneously start the next round. I love it when things are dry and ready for me to pull out one at a time and cut and sand and carve and paint! I love the smell of burning paper mache. I use a dremmel to cut into my very thick moon's walls, and that burning paper smell makes it fall for me.....

Lots to finish up! Check back soon!

Ooooh, now I want a dremmel so I can smell that! I have to laugh at how busy you sound - I just blogged about that very same crazed fall rush thing.
I was going to get out to our woods to take some pics of the mushrooms, but it's been cloudy and humid, so maybe tomorrow. :) Happy Fall!!! xo Pam

Got to get into the woods, that damp earthy smell of soil, moss, and I know the fairies are taking shelter under the mushrooms. I love all your works before the painting starts. Have a good into the wood walk...

The smell of burning paper mache?????!!! You're mad, woman, mad!!! LOL My studio smells right now of spray paint. I painted a little Christmas tree black yesterday outside, but I was afraid to keep out on the patio since we had a bit of wind....ok, howling wind, so I brought it into the studio...noting messes up your little gray cells like the smell of spray paint!!!!

Holy cow, I am impressed Brandi! I never have the patience to do a bunch at a time. Maybe if I sniffed burning paper mache??? LOL Wow, have you been busy and they all look wonderful too. Thanks for coming by and leaving such sweet comments! You are so kind and I have been a big fan of yours before I even started selling on eBay. Someday I want one of your big lanterns, they are just gorgeous!

Hi Brandi, I'm a Libra and this is my favorite time of year. Maybe I'll get a few new pieces done before All Hallows - time is running out. And like you, I'm pulled in a million different directions. Funny you should mention a dremmel - I've always wanted one but can't imagine what I would use it for. Happy Autumn! It's supposed to get really cool here over the w/e. :) Lisa

p.s. I think you should finish the kitty first! They are all so wonderful and cheerful but I'm kinda partial to cats. Although I ADORED that moon lamp stick with all of the glitter...

Lisa...I love Libras! I'm an Aquarius...air signs think alike...October is my favorite month too. Its so romantic! I want to soak up every second of it when it gets here. I hope it gets cool here soon! I am finishing a big double moon today for ebay but then its on to the CAT! I agree...I love the cats. I want to do a witch soon too. Halloween is alost upon us and I still get a couple of new commissions every week which keeps MY "NEW" ideas and projects going slow!
Oh well!
Thanks for stopping by your work always has me enthralled...
