Happy Birthday Vanessa!

If you don't know about Vanessa's blog A Fanciful Twist, you must give yourself a treat and visit her today! It's her birthday! She is the most amazing artist, photographer, and blogger around. Lots of people are throwing her a blog party, just like Vanessa does many times throughout the year herself. Her Mad Hatter's party is my favorite. Celestial sidekicks!
Ha ha, that is what I called them in the eBay listing. They are 3 and 6 inches. Paper mache...and, yellow! I miss my Happy bright Halloween colors! So there! Matte finish.
I also have another moon ornament on eBay this week that I haven't shown here. If you are really curious, you can look him up on eBay! I am getting the eBay ball rolling again finally and have several different kinds of moons on. I am working on a large double one, probably the last for 2009! What else is new? Just tons and tons of art all over the house and in the two studios here. Some will be gifts, some are commissioned, and some will be for STJ update the 13th...and some will be for eBay! Don't forget to check out the fabulous STJ Tree on eBay this week too. I wrote a little ditty in the listing, and photographed it too. It sits pretty in my downstairs studio. I will sorely miss it when I go to ship it. But alas, it is beyond my financial reach at the moment. We have three kids! Its almost Christmas!!

A New Year's Moon...
I have been so busy with other projects I have scarcely had time for making any extras! Well, here they are and will go on eBay tonight if I get the time to list them. Below is a Merry Christmas Moon Make-do, or a shelf sitter. He has a party hat glittered and be ribboned with the words "Merry Christmas" on the little ribbon banner. He is mounted on a large metal vintage candlestick I have painted, and he has two large metallic jingle bells too.


This one is my favorite! A little New Years 2010 shelf sitter...but the moon itself is painted metallic SILVER!! I am going to do some more silver ones. possibly even a huge lantern silver one for Happy new Year 2010!!!

Spooky Time Jingles Collector's Tree...Ta DA!!!
Check it out everyone! Look what we at STJ did! An entire tree topped with a Santa star tree topper and complete with a skirt! But wait, that's not all! This finely festooned holiday heart stopper is JAM PACKED with goodies! This tree is dressed to the nines with handmade, one of a kind works of art from members of our group! Pastoral Paintings in Progress...




These are two panels measuring about 5 feet tall by two and a half feet wide I am doing as a commission. They are supposed to have that old world golden age of painting look. She wanted cattle in one and sheep in the other. I hesitate to ever show paintings in progress. These are so tall and long they are hard to get good photos of too. I will glaze and soften the entire paintings as well as add lots more detail to the animals, foreground foliage, etc.




At this stage the animals still look drawn in and somewhat cartoonish...but it will all come together when finished!

I love painting dramatic skies and animals...so its been a pleasurable project. More pics when finished!!

Spooky Time Jingles Christmas Event!
Spooky time Jingles is having a special 12 Days of Christmas event December 1st through the 12th! There will be ornaments and other art pieces for sale by a few different talented artsists on each day. You never know what that day's featured piece may be so please check daily! Of course we will have our regular update on December 13th.
